When will I start to feel better?
Therapy takes time, sometimes you can feel more wobbly before starting to feel more balanced. This is part of the process.
How long will I need to be in therapy for?
This depends on the issue(s) presented, each individual works at their own pace. I offer both short term (6 - 12 weeks, usually 20 weeks) and long term therapy depending on the needs of the individual or couple.
Can I try a few sessions without a long-term commitment?

Can I arrange therapy for someone else?
Therapy is a personal choice, its very important an individual chooses for themselves. Parents sometimes call me to make appointments.
What can counselling help with?
Anything you are struggling with, talking can help get to the bottom of things. I also work creatively which can help if you find it difficult to talk. Therapy can also help look at our ways of being in relationships, facilitating change if that is what we choose.
Is therapy for me?
If you have never tried therapy this can be a difficult question to answer. We can meet for an initial session to see how it is for you.
How will I know which therapist to choose?
The simple answer is, you will know who you feel comfortable and safe to talk to. By meeting with me it will give you the opportunity to see if I am the right therapist for you.
Counselling v Psychotherapy - What is the difference?
To me, there is little difference between the two. Both work with you in very similar ways.
