We may feel torn between staying or leaving, or want to stay but just want things to be different*. We just don't know how to make it different, we may feel we don't have the tools needed to be in a healthy relationship.
Couples therapy can help each person in the relationship to realise there is much each can personally do without necessarily leaving the relationship. It won't be easy, there is work involved. However, the benefits which can be experienced from the work, can far outweigh the effort in the long term.
Remember there are few quick fixes in life. Understanding of each other takes time and what something means to one person, means quite another to someone else - even if you are in a relationship. We cannot mind read so communication is vital and it's a challenge when we feel our partner is speaking a different language to us and we are misunderstanding the messages they may be trying to convey to us.
Couples therapy is streamlined to the needs of you as a couple.
